Offline download not working when tablet is tethered via Bluetooth

Yes - I've just tried re-installing the latest version from the Play Store. I also removed the app data before re-installing.. Same problem. Settings > Offline Reading > Full Content Format is set to Simplified. As i said, this all works fine when my tablet is connected to a Wireless network.
